The Fifth Annual Fimbulwinter Games

SITE ADMISSION
One canned good or other non-perishable food item per person
All food collected will be donated to a local food pantry.
 

FOOD INFORMATION:
A Luncheon Feast of various soups, breads, cheeses and other delights will be served buffet style starting at noon.
Cost of lunch is a goodwill donation with proceeds going to the Shire of Cuil Cholium.
Coffee, hot tea, iced tea, hot cocoa served complimentary throughout the event.


SOUP BUFFET: 
Pork & Barley Stew/Pottage - Pork loin, barley, red potatoes, white russet potatoes, white sweet potatoes, blue potatoes, turnips, parsnips, onion, garlic, salt, pepper, thyme, tarragon, rosemary, summer savory, sage, chicken base(roasted chicken, salt, sugar, yeast extract, chicken fat, corn starch, potato starch, onion powder, turmeric, and natural flavor)

Chicken Noodle Soup - Egg noodles, salt, onion, corn, peas, carrots, chicken, celery, parsley, spices,
palm oil, sodium caseinate, sugar, corn starch, hydrolyzed corn protein, natural & artificial flavors,
disodium inosinate and disodium guanylate (flavor enhancers), mono & diglycerides, dipotassium phosphate,
tumeric, paprika, annato [this is a commercial mix with added chicken]


Beef & Rice Soup - Beef, wild rice, brown rice, carrots, green beans, peas, onions, garlic, thyme, savory, rosemary, bay leaves, butter, beef base ( roasted beef w/concentrated beef stock, salt, hydrolized sot protein, sugar, corn syrup solids, flavoring, yeast extract, dried whey, potato, flour, caramel color, corn oil, xantham gum)
{This option is gluten free.}

 A1 Vegetable Soup - A1 sauce (Tomato puree, raisin paste, distilled vinegar, corn syrup, salt, crushed orange puree,
dried garlic, dried onion, spice, celery seed, caramel color and xanthan gum), green beans, English peas,
great northern beans, carrots, potatoes, vegetable stock
{This option is gluten free and vegetarian friendly}  

Rolls - Both regular and gluten free will be available - more info as it is given to us

Ginger Cookies (GLUTEN FREE) - Butter, brown sugar, egg, molasses, brown rice flour, oat flour, xantham gum,
ground ginger, baking soda, cinnamon, ground cloves, salt, crystalized ginger, dried lemon peel 

Chocolate Chip Cookies - Wheat flour, baking powder, butter, sour cream, baking soda, vanilla, eggs, brown sugar, salt

No Bake Cookies - Oats, creamy peanut butter, sugar, butter, milk, cocoa powder, vanilla extract

EVENT OVERVIEW:
We invite you to help shake off the deep winter doldrums by joining us for a fantastical event
just for the dicer, gamer, strategist, and lover of shiny things in all of us!
Fimbulwinter might be kept at bay if we show how much we enjoy each others' company
while we play and make merry all through the wintry day and into the night!

 

SITE INFORMATION:
Site opens at 10 am and closes at 10pm (all times Eastern)

Site is DRY and handicap accessible. Parking lot is dirt and gravel.

Tables and chairs will be provided for everyone to sit, play and/or socialize.

ATTN: GAMERS!

Classes for Period games will be taught throughout the day. 
We are looking for folks to teach their favorite period dice, bone, board, card, chance or other games!
If you want to help teach something, show up and announce where and when you'll be starting.
This is a laid back event with little in the way of schedule.

Weather permitting, we will be playing Daska Markus ( Spanking Marcus) again!

The Cuil Cholium Game Library will be present with multiple boards
for Nine, Six, and Three Man Morris; Checkers, Chess, Mancala, and lot's more.
Binders will be available with rules and instructions for all these games and more.



There will be a casino with several games of skill and chance, run by Lord Hrafn Graefeldr.

SILENT AUCTION
There will be a fundraising silent auction to benefit the Shire at the event! 

We'll also have a sale of a bag o'beads for a set price - come get shinies for your gaming and gambling needs!
